Heard this soundbite from Shaq on KNBR driving home regarding an accusation Bill Walton made that he was faking injury in Miami. I don't know if he was faking or not, but Walton is such a douchebag that it's sweet to see someone just pummel him publicly. Have a listen:

While I found it very difficult to argue against the merits of bitch-slapping Bill Walton, I have to say that in this case, I'm with Walton. Shaq makes something close to $30MM per year and the type of effort and care he has been displaying for the past 18 months is truly pathetic. The Heat have won 9 games this ENTIRE year. That's right, 9 games. You would hope Shaq's pride would at least force him to make a little bit of effort to help Flash in a game or two here and there.

As I have watched just a little bit of tonight's game, it is clear the Nash should win the award over Nowitski. The Suns without Nash are below average. It's unbelievable that a 6 foot white guy will win 3 in a row. He is the man.... more

What the hell are you smoking. Nash is an overrated point guard on a very good team. He's not a champion and doesn't deserve to win the award again. 3 time MVP is like putting him in a category with Magic and Jordan, NEVER!

As for overrated 7' Nowitski, he shouldn't even be considered. It's consolitation time when White players in the NBA can't win championships, but are given MVP awards....What a joke.

Okay Dallas is currently riding a 17 game winning streak and are sitting at 52-9. Pretty impressive, although they are lucky they haven't played San Antonio, who is riding its own 12 game streak, in the last two weeks. Still, I bet you Dallas doesn't win the Western Conference. With Timmy healthy they will lose to the Spurs or else the Phoenix will find a way to slip through.

You are dismissing Dallas way too quickly. They would have won the championship last year had the refs not given the series to D Wade and the Heat. What a sham. This year, Dallas is even better than last year, as witness by winning the past 38 out of 40 games. That is AMAZING . I like your picks for top teams, but I'll put the Mavs right there with them.
