Born in Chicago into a diehard Cubs fan family (back when WGN meant Jack Brickhouse, pre-Harry). We weren't a basketball or hockey family. Moved to Detroit in the mid 70s when the Wings were the Dead Things but I decided to take up hockey like the other kids on my street.

Still playing, still cheering for the Wings, the Cubs and the Bears.

Went to Northwestern which offered no reason to give up the Wolverines. Go Blue!
