Grew up 20 minutes from Lambeau Field, so I'm a huge Green Bay Packers fan. Like the other Wisconsin teams too, but have sort of adopted the Giants, Warriors and Sharks since I'm living in the Bay Area. Will never be a Niners fan, though.

The unabated enthusiasm with which I've jumped into March Madness is a reminder of my favorite sports rant of all time: WHY IS THERE NO PLAYOFFS IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL!?!? The BCS process is one of the most sterile, un-inspired, boring, and ultimately fan disenfranchising experiences in all sports. It is so frustrating to see this antiquated system lumber on despite the fact that *nobody* wants bowls. If anyone, anyone out there, thinks the BCS is preferable to a playoffs for determining the NCAA football champion, please, please, please issue me a challenge.
