I'm not sure I'll get anyone to take the other side of this smackdown, but Tiger's display of pure dominance today added yet another chapter in the increasingly compelling story of the best athlete of our time, and, I believe, ever in any sport. Pulling off what Tiger has pulled off is hard to imagine, let alone what he could pull off if he keeps going like this.

With the win today, he has 64 wins in 219 PGA Tour starts, tying him for third. The two dudes ahead of him are Sam Snead at 82 wins in 423 starts and Jack Nicklaus at 73 wins in 450 starts. Tiger has had half the starts of these guys, but will probably surpass both within 2-3 years. At the rate he's going, if Tiger plays that many PGA tournaments, he'll finish with something in the neighborhood of 120+ wins! Ridiculous. Total dominance. No one else, in any sport, comes close.

I'll take that challenge because you are sleeping on one person, Kenichi Horie, from Japan. The 69 year old sailor holds several world records that I just can't see falling any time soon.

1. Horie navigated from Hawaii to Okinawa, Japan, 14 years ago in a foot-paddled boat, setting the world's distance record for feet-powered sailing.

2.In 1996, Horie also set the world record for being the fastest to race a solar powered boat by crossing the Pacific in 148 days.

3. Starting last Sunday, Horie hopes to set the Guinness world record for the longest distance traveled by a wave-powered boat, by attempting the 4,350-mile route to his homeland

Once this third record is set, I think he easily distances himself from Tiger's accomplishments to date.
