It must make Lions fans really proud to see so many of their previous picks listed among ESPN's all-time biggest NFL draft busts http://sports.espn.go....

As an NFC Norris division rival, it always brings a little chuckle to reflect on such names as Charles Rogers, Andre Ware, and Reggie Rogers. While I'm reflecting on it, have the Lions ever been good???

Hindsight is 20/20. Yea sure, a lot of the Lions picks have not worked out so well, but I don't remember a lot of people saying Charles Rogers was a terrible pick on draft day. Or Andre Ware for that matter. These guys were all highly rated by the so called experts. The NFL draft is a crapshoot -- the one lesson teams should have learned by now is to stay away from criminals. After that, it's very tough to predict who will be the standouts.

I challenge YOU Cheesehead to tell me who in 3 years will be the pro-bowlers and who will be the busts from this upcoming draft.

Wolverine, the draft is indeed a crapshoot (and I admittedly had a chuckle at your suggestion that Cheesehead play soothsayer). But the fact is that teams spend countless hours/money/resources to make their draft decisions and at the end of the day, I just cannot accept that Detroit's propensity to make perpetually bad decisions is merely the consequence of "bad luck". (NB: speaking of bad decisions, did my Dolphins REALLY just spend $60m on a LT? Someone please wake me from this bad dream...)

SmackDaddy -- you should check out my challenge on the Long pick. Agree that $57M (with $30M guaranteed) is just crazy.
