The quality of the acting, story writing and story lines are 2nd to none. It's not just about a funeral home. It's so deep. This show is the best.

You're stoned. This show doesn't even make my top 10 list. Which at this stage of the game would be:

Deadwood
Sopranos
Hill Street Blues
The Simpsons
The Wire
Star Trek
Bosom Buddies (Donna Dixon was hot!)
The Big Break
Emergency
Real World Season I (the birth of reality tv and Puck)

I'm with Smitty on this one, without any hesitation whatsover. I'm not surprised you listed Bosom Buddies though, its just your type of show. Stupid.

Six Feet Under was a crazy addiction I enjoyed for 5 strong seasons. Life hasn't been the same since that show ended.

MSmith492 knows his show. PatsFan, at least you've got the Wire on your list.

Hey Smitty, I assume you didn't watch season 4? This is not the best show ever, but I am gonna vote for Smitty b/c its in my top 7 and Smitty had the balls to call it out. Here is how I come out:

- Deadwood (hats off to you PatsFan)
- Sopranos
- West Wing
- Six Feet Under
- Arrested Development
- Entourage
- Sportnight

Anyone else watch sportsnight? Went through the entire two seasons on NetFlix and loved it.

Tommy, I can't believe Six Feet Under is number four on your list. I'm going to have to talk to Debbie about this. I guess you prefer violence to high quality drama, but it could be worse...at least Hill Street Blues didn't crack your top 7

OK - I got a bit aggressive with the bottom 5 because I was pressed for time (Bosom Buddies a bit tongue & cheek). But agree on Sportsnight and Entourage. They're now my bottom 2. Also, you guys are cowards for not picking anything from when you were a kid or in your 20's. Come on. You can't think that the only good tv was in the past 5 years.

Hill Street Blues? Is it 1985?

Entourage is a fantastic show. I have to put Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations on the list too -- food, travel, and irreverence in one show. The Office is also, obviously, deserving of anyone's top-10 list.

I would also note that many of the shows we mentioned are HBO. Their programming is vastly better than any networks. Of course, swearing, violence, and nudity give them an unfair advantage.
