LT2 will not be worth a number one pick this year

OK, Ladanian is awesome but this will be the year he underdelivers. Let's face it - what is the average number of years someone can stay on top? I haven't crunched the numbers, but my guess is if you looked back at Marshall Faulk, Priest Holmes and so on you'd find it was no more than two. Three max.

LT2 will under-perform this year. San Diego's offensive coordinator is now in miami, Philip Rivers will be better at delivering the ball to receivers (Vincent Jackson is under-rated) and defenses are tired of getting stomped on.

I'll take that. It's obvious that he won't put up 31 total touchdowns and thus will underperform last year's fantasy totals but there is no way he shouldn't be taken number one. There is a HUGE delta in just talent between LT and everybody else. The Chargers will be a very good team with a very good defense. The only other guy that you could arguably pick ahead of him is Stephen Jackson and there is NO WAY a sane person would pick him over LT.

The only way you pick LT lower than one is if you are superstitious and think he might get hurt.

All the stars are aligned for LT to clearly be the number 1 pick.

So PatsFan let me get this straight...if you have the #1 pick, you pass on LT and pick who??? I'm also curious as to what your definition is of "under-perform". I agree that Rivers will be better, but your point about his production slipping because Cam Cameron is in Miami doesn't carry much weight with me when the guy calling the plays now is Norv Turner. While I am the first to say Norv has been terrible as a head coach, its probably worth mentioning that the offense the Chargers run now was installed by Norv back in LT's rookie year. And I guess this is the first year that defenses are tired of getting stomped on. I guess all the other years when he did it don't count. The year he caught 100 passes and also rushed for 1600 yards wasn't enough of a statement for you.

So be my guest and be that guy that has the first pick and passes on LT.
