I'm Over Tiger-Mania!

Tiger is the greatest golfer of all time. Hold your applause, Smackers- I’m NOT telling you something you don’t know.

In the whole scheme of things, we often fail to appreciate the difficulty of qualifying, let alone winning just ONE tournament, let alone Grand Slam! His record speaks for itself. I’m not going to harp on about what he’s done or attempt to predict what he will do. Just for fun, I’ll say that he’ll win two of this year’s Grannies (Masters and US Open). But he’ll probably prove me wrong and touch ‘em all. Whatever...

The point is that I’m over Tiger-mania. I’m tired of hearing about how this wunderkind featured on “That’s Incredible” was shooting below par while still pooping his pants. I’m sick of hearing about how he flies around munching Big Macs on his personal jet to luxurious destinations to play a “sport” that takes little/no physical toll on his body. I believe that his appearance fees (not prize money... appearance fees!) really do dwarf what we smackers make in a year. I need not be reminded that he’s a minority (I can see). I refuse to read an article featuring his caddy (yes, Smackers... caddy!), who is fast becoming a bigger celebrity on the Tour than most other golfers. I don’t want to receive another e-mail with photos of his Hawaiian “bungalow”. I’m sure he really IS a mega-gazillionaire. And the fact that he’s married to a hot Swedish nanny is of no consequence to me.

Am I bitter? Of course not- I’m loving life. Am I sick of hearing about his? Yep!

Do you want some cheese with your whine?? Face it, he's amazing and deserves all the attention he gets. He is the greatest that ever lived and will continue to prove it. You are bitter. The first part of healing is admitting your issue. Now get over it!
