If I had to win an NFC Championship Game and I could only choose an NFC quarterback, I would take Brett Favre today over any other NFC quarterback.

Let's talk AFC QBs and we'd have a good debate. Reading posts from a couple Packer fans that have been stroking Brett for years is BORING . If Drew Brees has one more good year, we migh have an interesting back and forth. |

Am I allowed to voting against both of you guys? C'mon you've got to be kidding me. Donovan McNabb is the class of the NFC. Favre has beena middle-tier quarterback for over five years now. What is McNabb's record against Favre in the playoffs, I can't remember? |

I agree with TK. You guys are both crazy. McNabb the only real proven winner at QB over the last 5 years in the NFC. |

Just out of principle I can't take Favre. Is this the same Favre who threw 20+ picks 2 years ago? The same Favre who threw key picks against Buffalo, Chicago and New Orleans, and a key fumble against St. Louis? Any one of these costly turnovers could've changed the Packers season. When they show highlights of Favre, anything since 2002? No. Know why? He's past his prime. Sure, he still has a strong arm, and can read defenses better than most. His problem? Arrogance that he can still make that tight throw that he could make 5 years ago. He can't, but his mind tells him he can. All things equal, I'll take McNabb by a landslide. Shoot, I'd even take Garcia over Favre now. BTW, the reason Favre is coming back -- Marino's TD record. Favre wanted it this past year, which explains throwing so often inside the 10 yard line. This is his last year. And I'm not buying this Packers will continue to improve. |

McNabb better than Favre???? Sure Favre makes some mistakes, and the fact he's past his prime athletically is indisputable -- every athlete fades. But Favre is a leader. He's a winner. And he's reliable. What's McNabb's consecutive game streak? Four?

1) Brett Favre will go down as one of the four or five greatest QB's in NFL history -- in the area of Unitas/Montana/etc. His combination of durability, winning percentage, toughness, creativity, carrying his whole team on his back for long seasons, and being relentlessly fun to watch make him one for the ages. My kid has a Brett Fave picture on his wall. I am not a hater. Period.

you've got to be kidding. favre? today? maybe during his prime, but there are easily half a dozen quarterbacks that you'd rather have today than him.

Brett Favre is the John F. Kennedy of political leaders. The Chopin of classical composers. He attracts an audience. A quarterback for the people! |
