All you ever hear about is what annoying blowhard Dick Vitale is at the college level and what an obnoxious smart-ass Bill Walton is at the pro level.

Well guess what, they are both great. You won't find someone who cares more about the college game or the kids than Vitale. Maybe his styles and sayings are getting a little old. But he actually has positive things to say about the teams he covers.

And Walton, if you can't tell how much fun this guys has being purposely absurd, you are not paying attention. Walton isn't afraid to keep things interesting by going out on a limb-- so far on a limb that you think he must be kidding, but he waits to see if you'll blink first.

You have got to be kidding me. Vitale has been shouting the same things at the top of his lungs for 20 years. Do we really care who he thinks is a "PTPer" or "Diaper Dandy" anymore? Vitale isn't able to analyze college hoops any better than most solid fans and I hate to admit it but he totally sucks up to the big coaches and programs.

AS for Walton, I'll give him credit as a Grateful dead fan who has been to 600 shows. But his level of hyperbole is unbearable when you are exposed to it for more than 5 minutes at a time.

If there was such as thing as a "Vitale and Walton are Wankers Club", I would be the president but, TK, whilst you started well, you ultimately let an easy opportunity slip you by. In terms of pure smack content, the spoils must go to TheColonel (who might even deserve a bonus point for painting a target onto his chest to begin with).

Vitale's insincerity is too much for me to stomach. There was a time when his contribution to the growth of the game was important. Now he's just an irrelevant blow hard that should retire down at his place in Tampa and save my ears.

I'm confused, the DOOKIE is arguing against his biggest cheerleader in Vitale? Did I miss something? Vitale is nothing more than a Dennis Rodman. A great marketer. At one time, he actually did great for the game and actually did his homework to present a solid product. NO MORE. Now he's just marketing himself and his personal favorites (I know I don't need to mention the names but just in case you've been in a cave for the last 10 years Coach K and the General Bob Montgomery Knight - who btw seem to both have had an early exit in this years NCAA tourney.

Walton is just pure garbage. But when looking at Snapper, anyone looks good. They need to bring back Gooks or the Czar who at least can break down a game or not be so out of left field to warrant a response.
