For the love of GOD, Brett, please re-retire

I put the full blame for this situation on Favre. I love the guy, but the BS he has pulled this year (and the past several years, for that matter) is inexcusable. This is the opposite of a team player. The reality is, Packers fans, we all have to move on from the Favre era. And Favre, himself, has to move on. He's created a giant mess, caused irreparable damage to the team, created a no-win situation for everyone, and whipped up one of the most over-blown, over-hyped media carnivals in recent NFL memory. I bleed green and gold and sport a Favre jersey every Sunday (and will continue to no matter what), but this is the kind of behavior you expect to see out of Terrell Owens or Chad Johnson. Not Brett Favre.

Holy crap Batman! This might be the most important issue to face the NFL in the last twenty years! Or wait . . . maybe nobody 20 miles outside of Waukesha cares!

Chad Johnson? Terrell Owens? Give me a break. Two selfish players who put their bank accounts ahead of the team's success. Favre has consistently been underpaid for years to help the Packers' ability to make moves under the salary cap. Unfortunately Ted Thompson has blown those chances in recent years and here we are hitching a 13-3 team from last year to an injury prone QB who has done nothing rather than keeping one of the best that ever played coming off one of his best seasons?

Was their a mess created by both parties -- you bet, but to compare Brett Favre to T.O. or Ocho Cinco is way out of line.

Senor Trigg, forget about all of the craziness around this situation. You are coach/G.M. for the day and you have a choice to play Favre this year or Rodgers who do you choose?

I know it sounds crazy but I would vote to start Aaron Rodgers over Brett Favre even this year. I don't trust that Brett's heart is in it. It certainly wasn't in it in Chicago or the NFC Championship last year to the extent it needed to be. I would feel differently if he had just come back and didn't hold the organization hostage the last 3 years with his indecision.
