Fastasy Draft - You don't want to be sitting with the 4th, 5th, or 6th picks

We all have our fantasy football drafts coming up. Obviously LT is the #1 pick, and I think its a pretty good chance that Stephen Jackson and Larry Johnson will go #2 and #3. But at that point, especially with Frank Gore's broken hand, you reach total parity:

Which of these guys do you take at #4?
- Frank Gore
- Shaun Alexander
- Travis Henry
- Joseph Addai
- Brian Westbrook
- Peyton Manning
- Reggie Bush
- Steve Smith
- Rudi Johnson
- Steve Smith
- Willie Parker

If I am sitting at #4, #5, or #6, I want to trade down to #10, 11, or 12, because for the first time this year there really is not much of a difference after the top 3, and for that matter at LT goes at #1.

Typically I'd agree with you. I'd like #1 or #2, and then #10 plus. But not this year...

I think #4 is right in the sweet spot. My gut says that LJ will go #2 or #3 and whoever takes him will be sorry. At 4, you won't have to make that choice. You're looking at Frank Gore (who I had last year) or Shaun Alexander, who seems to be the most popular elite player to diss these days. But I'd kill for him at #4.

I'm with PatsFan. I like #4 with Gore or Alexander. I don't like 6-8. There is a lot of risk with the first and second round pick. I like being #2.

I'm with The Colonel here. You can't tell me that you would be significantly (if at all) more jazzed to to have Sean Alexandar or Frank Gore on your team as opposed to Willie Parker or Joseph Addai. Six of one, have dozen of another.
