Can't believe I'm saying this, but Favre should stay retired

This whole thing is just so regrettably sad. I wish Favre hadn't been such a moron and retired in the first place. But every day this whole debacle drags out, it further tarnishes my opinion of him and hurts his legacy. Is he really going to end his relationship on this kind of bad terms with the team he played for his entire career??? BRETT, JUST STOP!!! PLEASE!!!!!

You think Ted Thompson is making this decision solo??? No one in the Packers organization wants Favre back. The reality is last season is a fluke for a 38-year-old QB. If Favre had put up a season like he had the previous 3 years, nobody would be clinging on to the belief that he's still an elite QB. Do I think it's possible that he could "throw more TDs than INTs" (not a very high bar of accomplishment, by the way), sure. But do I think it's PROBABLE? No. I don't.

Let us not blame Brett for all of this. While he did make a mistake in retiring. Ted T. is to blame for not allowing him to come back. We play for superbowls not developing a team for the future or going down some mystical road that Ted talks about in his press conferences. It is not over, never was, the season starts in September. Prediction: Ted T. will be gone after this season is over and Favre will end up on a team with a winning record and throw more TDs than INTs.

Ted Thompson is responsible for running the football operations, so ultimately he is responsible.

Lombardi retired and came back, still a legend. Montana retired and came back, still a legend. Hell make it relevant for you left coasters, Steve Jobs retired, came back and yes still a legend in the IT world.

So Brett made a mistake in March does that mean that Thompson creates organizational suicide and takes a team that was one game from the superbowl and dumps the starting QB and RB?
