So much pain last night to see my Yanks get the PISS beaten out of them! Some send off for Yankee Stadium. and don't even get me started on Hank and gang- that's a subject of another rant. The only bright side to the whole game turned out to be a fuck up by the homeplate ump who waived off delgado's 3 run HR. Here's what the ump said after

"I (expletive) it up. I'm the one who thought it was a (expletive) foul ball. I saw it on the replay. I'm the one who (expletive) it up so you can put that in your paper," Davidson said. "Bolts and nuts, I (expletive) up. You've just got to move on. No one feels worse about it than I do."

Are you KIDDING me!? Even though this onne happened to go for the Yanks it kills me as a baseball fan to think that some dipshit standing at home plate could OVER RULE that call. What if this was a real subway series and that was a real play that mattered and that moron blew it!!!??MLB needs to get instant replay in as soon as possible before a play like that ruins someones season!

Stop your crying we all had teams that lost out to a bad call. There should never be instant replay in baseball, it would cause the games to go way to long and fans like me who already don't watch baseball because it is so SLOW would never come back to watch any game if I knew it would last longer then the 3 plus hrs already. Don't you worry your yanks will end up climbing back into contention by over paying someone or making a trade for some supper star that his existing team can't afford to pay him.
P.S I was in New York over the weekend and for some reason didn't feel any of the Yankee hoopla...

if other sports have it, why shouldn't baseball?

I'm voting for Smackalicious, but I agree with Krummy that the games are already too long, so I'd like to see the replay approved but only in conjunction with some type of rule to speed up the game. Less manager visits to the mound to scratch their asses and get their bullpens ready. All the shananigans in baseball are ridiculous.

No doubt replay is needed ... MLB get into the current century. Homers and foul / fair balls ... this one is cut and dry. Why do we rely on overweight 60 year olds wearing glasses running down the foul lines to determine? It can't be what's in the best interest of the game. No brainer.
