As much as it pains me to say it, Favre should stay retired

I practically took a day of mourning when I heard #4 was calling it quits. But I think I'd be even more depressed, surprised and stunned if he changed his mind and decided to return. And the though of him playing for another NFC North team (as LeRoy Butler insinuated) is unfathomable. Seeing Favre trot out on to the field in Vikings purple would probably put me into immediate cardiac arrest.

Brett -- please, please, please... Stay Retired! Don't tarnish your legacy with this nonsense.

I don't believe you can be a true football fan and not have respect for #4. He's done it all on the field and off. Unfortunately, he did it all for the worthless Packers!!! Now, if he really wants to prove himself and add something to his amazing career, he should come to Chicago. Even if Favre follows the sadly pathetic patterns of other superstar athletes dreaming of postponing their retirement, he would be a welcomed alternative to the Bears current quarterback---whose name I cannot even mention in the same context with Bret.

He should also go back to the his estate in Hattiesburg and stay out of the limelight. He needs some media coaching like Nuke received from Crash in Bull Durham. He's too honest and then his nonsense gets carried by every sports outlet in the country.

Holy shit! If Favre played for the Bears, my head would explode. What, Rex Grossman not good enough for ya??

I'm so tired of Favre's drama. He needs to go away for a while. Doing a Michael Jordan (played poorly for the Zards), but with the Bears would be disastrous.
