3 point line must be moved back

It should be the same as the NBA 3-point line. Teams rely far too much on the 3 in college. It is ridiculous when teams attempt more 3s than 2s. It would do a world of good for the quality of the game.

Okay Roscoe P Coltrane, I'll take you on. I think most people agree the line should be moved back from 19'9'' to the international distance of 20'6''. But to the NBA distance of 23'9''? That would almost be like eliminating it altogether at the college level.

Remember those heady days of the early and mid-80's before 3 pointers? UNC would start Joe Wolf and two other 6'10'' chumps in their lineup or else you'd get Bowie and Turpin down at Kentucky just pounding it underneath against smaller players. That was no fun. The big player went to the big school and they won boring games.

Having the 3-point line somewhere in the 20-21 foot range is what gives the little guys a chance. If not for makeable 3's you can forgete all the upsets we've all enjoyed in the Big Dance over the last 15 years - #15 Richmond over #2 Syracuse in 1991 or Bryce Drew leading Valparaiso to the Sweet 16 in 1998.

Would definitely be best to phase this approach. I think moving it back all the way to the NBA 3-point line right away would be too much of an adjustment. The NCAA should try International range and then evaluate the 3 pt FG percentages and then decide if the NBA line would be warranted. Didn't they try that once already? Can't remember. It is interesting to see how fast the NCAA guys adjust to NBA range when they go pro, but those guys are the best of the best. Have to vote against you on this one bro. As your brother though, I need to tip you off that you should vote for yourself so you don't get shut out.

I like pure basketball- which to me means that the team with more of an inside presence wins. Also, having the line so far back would separate the truly great shooters from the merely good ones. I mean, every decent guard/forward can knock down a 20 footer.
